Danielle Wyness

Intern Therapist

Location: Winnipeg/St. Malo

Services available in English and French

Danielle is a Master of Counselling student at the Université de Saint-Boniface. With 19 years of experience in education and school counselling, she has supported children, youth, and families navigating anxiety, emotional regulation, diverse learning needs, life transitions, and challenging experiences.

Her experience has shaped her belief in looking beyond the presenting challenge to understand the whole person and what they need to feel safe, supported, and connected. Danielle brings a warm, relational, strengths-based, and trauma-informed approach to her work. She strives to create a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel heard, understood, and accepted.

Danielle works collaboratively with each client, adapting her approach to reflect their age, personality, developmental stage, and individual needs. She is particularly interested in experiential and animal-assisted approaches, as well as the connection between the brain, body, emotions, and relationships. She values curiosity, play, co-regulation, and non-verbal connection as meaningful opportunities for understanding and growth.

Whether supporting a child experiencing big emotions, a teenager navigating change or uncertainty, or an adult working through stress or a life transition, Danielle feels privileged to walk alongside each client as they build self-awareness, resilience, confidence, and well-being.
