Lil’ Steps Wellness is a fast-growing therapeutic practice with two office locations: its head office and farm in St. Malo, Manitoba, and a brand-new (and not so lil’) office in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The recent expansion allows us to better serve our clients and reflects our commitment to providing high-quality mental health care in a welcoming and accessible environment.
With a growing team of experienced therapists in Winnipeg, we now offer an even broader range of modalities to support children, youth, and adults of all ages who are experiencing mental health challenges such as anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD, autism, and more.
At Lil’ Steps Wellness, we specialize in tailored mental health services designed to foster emotional, psychological, and behavioral well-being. Our offerings include animal-assisted therapy, land-based therapy, art therapy, summer day camps, workshops, play therapy, and many other innovative approaches. Whether at our serene farm in St. Malo or in our new Winnipeg office, we are dedicated to helping individuals and families take meaningful steps toward healing and wellness.

Toni Conrad; BSc, MACP (cand.)
Toni earned a Bachelor of Science degree at University of Manitoba, graduating with a major in Psychology in 2022. She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University and is recognized as a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
Toni has developed a passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and build healthier relationships, both with themselves and others. She aims to create a safe space where people feel seen, heard, empowered to grow, and begin to understand themselves more deeply.
Toni utilizes a range of therapeutic modalities, such as CBT, DBT, and person-centered therapy alongside a collaborative approach. She tailors the therapeutic sessions to best suit the client’s unique circumstances and needs. Toni is dedicated to supporting her clients through life’s transitions and hardships by focusing on developing their strengths and adaptive skills.

Travis Gowryluk; BComm (Hons), MACP (cand.)
Travis Gowryluk is a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student at Yorkville University and a Student Member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Manitoba.
After years in the corporate world, Travis transitioned into the mental health field, driven by a desire to help others and support them in their personal growth. With a collaborative, client-centred approach, Travis welcomes clients from all backgrounds and supports individuals with a wide range of concerns. He has a particular interest in men’s mental health and strives to provide a warm, non-judgmental space where all clients feel safe, heard, and empowered.
Travis incorporates strength-based and relational principles, exploring a variety of therapeutic approaches & modalities to meet each client’s unique needs. He believes that building a strong, compassionate therapeutic relationship is essential for creating lasting change and empowering clients to achieve their full potential.

Caitlin Krahn; BMT, MEd (Counselling Psychology) (cand.)
Through her work and life experiences, Caitlin has come to deeply admire the courage it takes for people to ask for help. She is honoured to bear witness and offer support to clients of all ages in their healing journeys. Through the formation of meaningful relationships, Caitlin aims to provide a safe, non-judgemental environment that encourages curiosity, authenticity, and self-acceptance.
Caitlin looks forward to collaborating with clients to make meaningful use of their time in therapy. Her approach is holistic in nature, and grounded in person-centred & trauma informed care. She will draw from attachment theory, mindfulness, narrative, and existential humanistic therapy, as well as incorporating creative and play-based techniques when helpful.
Caitlin is a student in the Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology program at the University of Manitoba. She holds a Bachelor of Music Therapy, and is a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).

Hannah McQuay; BA (Hons), MSW (cand.)
Hannah is a Master of Clinical Social Work student at the University of Calgary and a student member of the Manitoba College of Social Workers. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Winnipeg and a Diploma in Animal Assisted Wellness from Lakeland College.
With over 12 years of experience in social services, uses an integrative and holistic framework that is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and grounded in evidence-based practices. Her work is influenced by modalities such as Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and somatic practices. With a specialization in trauma-informed practice, Hannah supports clients in navigating difficult thoughts, behaviours, and emotions with empathy, connection, and respect.
Deeply believing in the power of co-regulation and therapeutic relationships, Hannah brings a warm, grounded approach to her work-rooted in the belief that healing happens in safe, supportive spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered. She also integrates her training in animal-assisted wellness, partnering with animals to support the diverse needs of her clients and honouring the profound healing potential of the human-animal bond.

Rayan Rahal; BA, MEd (Counselling Psychology) (cand.)
Rayan graduated from Queen’s University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and is currently completing his final year of graduate studies at the University of Manitoba with a Master of Education in counselling psychology. He is a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and plans to achieve full certification upon graduation.
Rayan has aspired to become a psychotherapist since he was fifteen years old and while he has experienced related opportunities since then, including volunteer work as a crisis responder with Kids Help Phone, he is very excited to be supporting people in an official therapeutic practice for the very first time!
Rayan is hoping to work with people from many walks of life and to draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as CBT and Play Therapy, in order to develop a better understanding of his own personal style and skillset. In doing so, he aims to tailor his approach such that each client is able to experience therapy in the way that best suits them.

Steve Schluter; BA (Hons), MEd (School Psychology), MEd (Counselling Psychology) (cand.)
Steve is pursuing his Master of Education degree in Counselling Psychology from The University of Manitoba. He has a Master of Education degree in School Psychology and is also currently a practicing School Psychologist with 16 years of experience. His career in the school system has allowed him to support school-aged children of all ages and their families, frequently working with students who have behaviour difficulties, autism, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and anxiety. Given his experience working with school-aged students, Steve is looking to broaden his experience by working with adults in addition to children.
Steve is an empathetic and strength-based professional who values creating a strong and collaborative therapeutic alliance with his clients. His ability to build authentic connections with others helps to create a comfortable, safe, and judgement-free space where meaningful growth can be inspired and achieved.
Steve is eager to support his clients by matching their needs to the theories, approaches, and strategies that he has studied within his graduate-level training.

Paulo Simões - MACP (cand.)
Paulo is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and is a proud member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). He brings a wealth of experience from over a decade of clinical and mental health work, both in Canada and Internationally.
With a background in health sciences and postgraduate training in mental health in Brazil, Paulo has provided clinical assessments and therapy for adults in diverse psychosocial and psychiatric settings. His approach is rooted in empathy, cultural humility, and respect for each client’s unique story, offering support for trauma, anxiety, depression, abuse, grief, addiction, self-esteem, and suicidal ideation.
With extensive experience supporting Indigenous clients and culturally diverse communities in Canada, Paulo offers sessions in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, with intermediate proficiency in French. He also has specialized training in crisis intervention and a deep understanding of working in high-pressure environments, including community mental health.

Anita Vien; DWHEAT (cand.)
Anita is an Art Therapy student passionate about empowering individuals to unlock their potential through creative self-expression. She is dedicated to fostering a safe and welcoming space where healing, growth, and self discovery can unfold.
Anita’s journey began in public education as a certified Educational Assistant supporting neurodivergent students. This experience sparked her shift toward art therapy, where she blends her creativity with holistic and trauma-informed practices to help clients express their emotions and insights through art. Whether barefoot in the garden or lost in an artistic pursuit, Anita continually embraces her creative spirit, believing art to be a powerful pathway.
Anita brings her warm-hearted presence to her work with humans tiny and grown. A proud Franco Manitoban Métis woman with deep ties to the land, she offers services in both French and English, drawing inspiration from nature and land-based teachings to support holistic well-being.

Meghan Wilson; RSW, MACP (cand.)
Meghan Wilson is a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student through Yorkville University with a background in social work.
Meghan supports individuals in creating meaningful and lasting therapeutic change. She takes a holistic approach to care, integrating techniques from cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioural therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based practices. Her work is grounded in cultivating a warm, safe, and supportive therapeutic environment.
Meghan brings years of frontline experience in community mental health and addiction services, working with a diverse range of clients across various demographics. She has supported both youth and adults in multiple settings, including crisis intervention, providing mental health services for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
