The Being Me Program
The Being Me Program is a six session, evidence based mental health program designed to help children understand anxiety and how it shows up in their thoughts, bodies, and daily lives. Through fun, interactive learning, children gain practical tools to quickly recognize anxious thoughts & feelings, and respond with healthy coping strategies that build long term resilience.
Families and schools can access the Being Me Program in several ways. It is available through one on one sessions for personalized support, classroom facilitation for group learning and shared growth, and soon through a digital format that will make these tools even more accessible to families everywhere.
Through these six one-on-one sessions, your child will gain practical skills and knowledge to help manage anxiety and build emotional resilience:
Recognizing Anxiety: Learn to identify the signs of anxiety and understand how it manifests physically in the body.
The Body’s Alarm Response: Understand the body’s natural fight, flight, or freeze response to stress and how it works.
Common Childhood Worries & Fears: Explore common worries children experience and how to address them.
Co-Regulation & Self-Regulation: Discover strategies for regulating emotions with the help of a trusted adult (co-regulation) and independently (self-regulation).
Using the Goat Worry Box: Learn a fun and effective way to manage worries using the "Goat Worry Box" method.
Piggy Belly Breathing: Practice calming the body and mind through belly breathing exercises, with guidance from our story’s characters.
The "Sit In" Method: Master the art of "sitting like a pig in mud," a grounding technique to help manage intense emotions and calm down in moments of anxiety.

Turning Big Scares Into Brave Moments
The Being Me Program is inspired by our first ever published children’s story book, “Cindy and Cristabelle’s Big Scare”
Cindy and Cristabelle are two fainting goats with big worries! After all, while life at Lil' Steps Farm seems happy and safe, it could change at any moment. Yet no matter how cautious they are, their worries and fears keep growing, and soon Cindy and Cristabelle don’t know where to turn. Lucky for them, they have Wilbert the Pig. Wilbert teaches the goats that when you take a moment to appreciate the world around you, you’ll realize there’s a lot of reasons to feel as happy!
Being Me School Program
The Being Me School Program brings our evidence based six session framework directly into the classroom setting. Facilitated in school, this program supports students in understanding how anxiety shows up in their thoughts, bodies, and daily experiences.
Through engaging, age appropriate activities and guided discussion, students learn practical strategies to recognize anxious feelings and respond with healthy coping tools. Delivered in a familiar classroom environment, the program encourages shared learning, peer connection, and the normalization of big feelings while building lifelong emotional resilience.
