TESTIMONIAL

The course really got me to reflect by asking thought provoking questions and relating it to our current experiences. Lucy is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and provided information in a relevant way.

Paws to Practice: Animal-Assisted Therapy Certification with TLCA

In collaboration with Training Loyal Companions Academy (TLCA), we are offering a new Animal-Assisted Therapy Certification Program. This program is designed for therapists, psychologists, and doctors working in mental health who wish to incorporate their dog into their professional practice.

It is important to note that while a dog may complete the certification process through Training Loyal Companions, the handler must first be a certified practitioner (for example, as a Child-Centered Animal-Assisted Therapist or Practitioner) in order to actively practice Animal-Assisted Therapy. This ensures that both the therapist and the dog are appropriately trained for therapeutic settings.
