We do not require a referral from a healthcare provider or any other external source to access our therapeutic support. Whether you are seeking assistance for yourself or on behalf of a loved one, we are here to provide the necessary guidance and support you need.
Outreach Services
What does an Outreach Worker do: An Outreach Worker works alongside our Action Therapist or Land-Based Therapist to assist in increasing skill-based strengths and needs. Once the client’s intake with their Therapist is complete, a plan is developed to focus on building skills that will be helpful in achieving success with identified therapeutic goals.
Our approach: The Outreach Worker provides a strength-based and client-centred approach where, together, they increase a variety of skills including building confidence, increasing resiliency, problem-solving, leadership, self-identity, and self-regulation skills.
Where: This partnership with the Outreach Worker and client can happen at the farm in St. Malo or at a location agreed upon by the client/family/support system, depending on the goals of therapy.
How often: The Outreach Worker will be able to provide a set amount of hours per week, that will help to achieve the goals. These hours will be tailored around the client’s needs/goals and will be flexible to accommodate their schedule.
Does an outreach worker provide therapy/counselling: No, the Outreach Worker’s scope of practice does not allow for the offering of therapy during their time together and is focused on building skill sets. However, every outreach worker is skilled and trained to provide support to the client and has open communication with the client’s therapist to relay any information that should be addressed in therapy.
