Monique Tellier

Therapist/Practicum Supervisor; BSW, MSW, RSW, CCAATP

Monique supports children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating life transitions, experiencing anxiety, challenges with social skills, school issues, coping skills, grief and loss.  Special interests include helping LGBTQIA+ individuals, those with ADHD or Autism, women’s issues and significant life transitions.

As a Registered Social Worker, Monique draws on a range of approaches, including Animal-Assisted Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Attachment-based, Strengths-based, Psycho-educational and Mindfulness.  Monique’s practice is trauma-informed, client- centered and rooted in the belief that every person has the capacity to work through their challenges when they are provided a safe environment and trusting relationship.

The incredible relationship, trust, and confidence-building that developed in individuals after spending time with her co-worker Fusion (the Standard Poodle) has led Monique to further explore ways that animals can contribute to our well-being and overall positive mental health.

Monique (and Fusion) is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where clients feel empowered to be themselves, share their stories, and grow at their own pace.  She believes that healing unfolds through meaningful connection – when people feel truly seen, heard, and safe enough to explore their lived experiences with curiosity and compassion.

Monique is an approved Health Provider for Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB).

Fusion is your furry helper and professional paw-holder, giving paws, snuggles, and lots of tail wags to help humans feel calmer, less worried, and ready to handle tricky feelings.
