Lil’ Steps Wellness is a fast-growing therapeutic practice with two office locations: its head office and farm in St. Malo, Manitoba, and a brand-new (and not so lil’) office in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The recent expansion allows us to better serve our clients and reflects our commitment to providing high-quality mental health care in a welcoming and accessible environment.
With a growing team of experienced therapists in Winnipeg, we now offer an even broader range of modalities to support children, youth, and adults of all ages who are experiencing mental health challenges such as anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD, autism, and more.
At Lil’ Steps Wellness, we specialize in tailored mental health services designed to foster emotional, psychological, and behavioral well-being. Our offerings include animal-assisted therapy, land-based therapy, art therapy, summer day camps, workshops, play therapy, and many other innovative approaches. Whether at our serene farm in St. Malo or in our new Winnipeg office, we are dedicated to helping individuals and families take meaningful steps toward healing and wellness.

Toni Conrad; BSc, MACP (cand.)
Toni earned a Bachelor of Science degree at University of Manitoba, graduating with a major in Psychology in 2022. She is currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University and is recognized as a student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
Toni has developed a passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and build healthier relationships, both with themselves and others. She aims to create a safe space where people feel seen, heard, empowered to grow, and begin to understand themselves more deeply.
Toni utilizes a range of therapeutic modalities, such as CBT, DBT, and person-centered therapy alongside a collaborative approach. She tailors the therapeutic sessions to best suit the client’s unique circumstances and needs. Toni is dedicated to supporting her clients through life’s transitions and hardships by focusing on developing their strengths and adaptive skills.

Travis Gowryluk; BComm (Hons), MACP (cand.)
Travis Gowryluk is a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student at Yorkville University and a Student Member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Manitoba.
After years in the corporate world, Travis transitioned into the mental health field, driven by a desire to help others and support them in their personal growth. With a collaborative, client-centred approach, Travis welcomes clients from all backgrounds and supports individuals with a wide range of concerns. He has a particular interest in men’s mental health and strives to provide a warm, non-judgmental space where all clients feel safe, heard, and empowered.
Travis incorporates strength-based and relational principles, exploring a variety of therapeutic approaches & modalities to meet each client’s unique needs. He believes that building a strong, compassionate therapeutic relationship is essential for creating lasting change and empowering clients to achieve their full potential.

Meghan Wilson; MACP (cand.)
Meghan Wilson is a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student through Yorkville University with a background in social work.
Meghan supports individuals in creating meaningful and lasting therapeutic change. She takes a holistic approach to care, integrating techniques from cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioural therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based practices. Her work is grounded in cultivating a warm, safe, and supportive therapeutic environment.
Meghan brings years of frontline experience in community mental health and addiction services, working with a diverse range of clients across various demographics. She has supported both youth and adults in multiple settings, including crisis intervention, providing mental health services for individuals, couples, families, and groups.

Rachel Gebhardt; BA, MCAP (cand.)
Rachel is a currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Yorkville University. She is also recognized as a Qualifying Canadian Certified Counsellor by the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association.
Driven by a deep commitment to supporting individuals in their mental health journeys, Rachel’s focus is on building meaningful client relationships, addressing personal challenges, and fostering growth and transformation.
During her practicum, Rachel is exploring a variety of theoretical frameworks to determine the most effective approaches for her clients' unique needs. She prioritizes creating a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe to share and work collaboratively toward their goals.

Sarah Reader; BA, BEd, MCAP (cand.)
Sarah holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University of Manitoba, with ten years experience teaching kindergarten to grade eight. She decided to transition to a different profession as she wanted to support others in their mental health journey. A student member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, Sarah is currently working towards her Master of Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
Sarah believes in tailoring her approach to meet each client's unique needs, recognizing that everyone’s experience is different. By actively listening and engaging in open dialogue, she aims to create a personalized therapeutic experience that empowers clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.
Sarah draws from a variety of therapeutic techniques, adapting her methods to align with the goals and preferences of each client. Whether you’re navigating challenges, seeking personal growth, or exploring new perspectives, Sarah is committed to being a compassionate partner in your healing journey.

Sherrie Anderson; RSW, Counsellor, MCAP (cand.)
Sherrie Anderson is a student in the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program at Yorkville University. She is a registered social worker & counsellor with a passion for helping people. She has several years of experience with various social agencies and private practice.
Sherrie views people as being the experts on themselves, and through a trauma-informed, client-centered, collaborative approach, helps to empower people to realize their own strengths. Sherrie appreciates the opportunity to support people in finding ways to cope and overcome barriers gaining insight and healthier coping skills to live their best lives.
Sherrie provides a safe, confidential, & non-judgmental space for people to navigate challenges, find their strengths, and live their best lives. Sherrie utilizes approaches such as CBT, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, ]and others to help clients reach their therapeutic goals.

Measha Marlow; BA, MCAP (cand.)
Measha Marlow is a practicum student completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) through Yorkville University. She graduated in 2019 from the University of Winnipeg with a BA in Psychology. Unsure of her next step, but knowing she had a passion for psychology, working with children, and animals, she came across Animal-Assisted Therapy and knew this was the career for her. She went on to take Animal-Assisted Therapy through the Animal Behaviour Institute, as well as Child-Centered Animal-Assisted Therapy.
As a student, Measha is exploring multiple theoretical orientations to find the best fit for her and her clients.Measha strives to create a safe space for clients where they feel comfortable sharing and discussing difficult experiences and goals, in which they can work together to create positive change and growth.

Suzi Friesen; BA, BEd, MCAP (cand.)
Suzi holds both a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Kinesiology & Applied Health, and a Bachelor of Education degree, which has shaped her passion for supporting others on their mental wellness journey. She is also a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and is on her way to completing her Masters in Counselling Psychology (MACP).
Suzi believes in creating a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can feel safe to explore any obstacles that may surface in their lives. She works to empower clients by recognizing that growth is a shared journey, not a solo one.Along with her work as a student psychotherapist, Suzi has experience teaching and developing mental health programming for K-12 students, helping young people build healthy coping strategies and fostering emotional resilience. This background fuels her commitment to empowering clients of all ages to overcome life’s challenges, believing in the idea that we don’t just go through life, we grow through it.
