CCAATA is an organization that offers professional certification and training programs. They believe in the power of the animal-human bond to help foster positive mental health outcomes in children and adolescents.

This organization offers diverse opportunities for personal exploration & growth, professional development, and certification training within the area of child-centered animal-assisted therapy.

Course Objectives Include:

  • Engage in exploratory exercises to introduce CCAATA Practitioners to the therapeutic work of Animal-Assisted Therapy

  • Explore the role of attachment when working with children and adolescents

  • Outline safety considerations when working with animals and humans

  • Explore the role of animals as assistants and partners in the healing process

CERTIFICATION TRAINING

Do you want to expand your professional practice, growth, learning, and wellness though working with animals?

CCAATA offers two levels of professional designation to become a CCAAT Practitioner:
Certified Mental Health Practitioner or Certified Learning Practitioner.

CCAAT Practitioners are required to successfully complete a thorough and
effective 5-step certification process to become fully certified.
