Jill Siemens
Jill is a clinical social worker and therapist with a passion for working with youth who have experienced trauma. Jill graduated from the Canadian Mennonite University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2011 and then continued on to the University of Manitoba to graduate with a Bachelor of Social Work as well as a Masters of Social Work.
Jill has experience in crisis & sexual assault counselling, child & family services, working with refugees in South Africa, and therapy with children, youth, & families.
In her therapeutic practice, she also pulls from a wide variety of other approaches to meet the needs of the client including trauma-informed practice, attachment theory, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness.
Jill believes that the relationship and creating an emotionally safe environment is the foundation for any effective therapy. She aims to meet clients where they are at and work together with them to meet their goals.
