Rikki Buck

Therapist; BSW, RSW

Rikki is a compassionate, client-centred therapist who believes that healing happens best when children, youth, and families feel truly seen, safe, and understood. She is deeply honoured to walk alongside young people as they navigate life's challenges, transitions, and moments of growth.

Grounded in a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, Rikki recognizes the resilience every child and young person carries, even during difficult times. She incorporates games, play, art-based interventions, and developmentally appropriate approaches to engage children, foster emotional safety, and support self-expression while helping them build a practical toolbox of coping strategies. Rikki works collaboratively with children, youth, and their caregivers to strengthen family relationships, support emotional development, and expand resilience-building skills.

Animals are also an important part of Rikki's life and therapeutic approach. She is currently completing her Animal-Assisted Therapy certification and looks forward to incorporating animals into her practice. She believes animals have a unique ability to create moments of connection, promote emotional regulation, and build confidence, particularly for children and youth who may find traditional talk therapy challenging.
