Shannon Braun

Therapist; B.A., B.Ed., PBDE-C, M.Ed G&C-Q

Shannon has over a decade of experience as an elementary classroom teacher and believes in supporting adolescents in their development, as they learn more about themselves, what they value, and the different ways that they can experience and share their stories. She has experience working with adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem, self-harm, stress, friendship concerns, and navigating big emotions.

Shannon supports clients by holding space with them in a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment and by helping them to build the skills that they need to live fuller, happier lives. Shannon is a humanistic therapist and utilizes techniques from the therapeutic models of Person-Centered Counselling, Expressive Arts Therapy (ExAT), Strength-Based counselling, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Shannon is currently working on her Child-Centered Animal-Assisted Therapy (CCAAT) certification and strongly believes in the healing relationship between people and animals.

Outside of work, Shannon enjoys snuggling and playing with her two cats & two dogs, growing her garden, reading autobiographies & comics, playing piano, and painting.
