Deanna Scott

Deanna is a Certified Counsellor through CCPA (Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association). In addition to her two degrees in Bachelor of Arts and Education, she has her Post Baccalaureate Degree and a Masters both in Counselling & Psychology through the University of Manitoba.

Deanna has been working in the counselling field with children for eight years. As each child is unique, Deanna tries to match their needs using a variety of lenses, techniques, and theories, including Attachment-Based, Strength-Based, Solution-Focused, Person-Centred, CBT, and Existential.

She also uses techniques from Play Therapy (including Sandtray) and Animal Assisted Therapy.

Deanna has experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, anger, abuse, family addictions, broken attachments, trauma, and grief.

It is Deanna's core belief that all children have an innate desire to succeed. If they are struggling with that, then something is getting in the way and it is our job to figure out what it is in order to help.

With a strong focus on the Therapeutic Relationship, Deanna believes in Mindfulness Healing while creating a safe, non-judgemental space where children can process, heal, and grow.
