Embracing Your Life (EYL)

An adaptation of Mindful Self-Compassion, an empirically- supported program developed by Chris Germer & Kristin Neff.

Are you 18-30 years old, trying to navigate this ever-changing world? Perhaps you find yourself "stuck in life" or distracted and overwhelmed by the challenges life brings or the social injustices that surround you.

EYL helps you to discern who you are, what matters most to you, discover what your needs are, and find resources within yourself to bring ease to your daily life, amidst this chaotic and challenging world.

Research has shown that EYL participants have found significant improvement with their overall emotional health and well-being. Other benefits include:

  • Increased emotional regulation

  • Decreased loneliness

  • Decreased depression

  • Decreased anxiety

  • Decreased stress

  • Increased resilience

  • Increased self-compassion

You are invited to participate in this six-week (2 hours/session) program to learn how to build skills of resilience with kindness and care. Come join us and learn healthy, fulfilling, and sustainable tools and practices, including:

  • Mindful self-compassion

  • Grounding exercises and meditation practices

  • Tending to the inner critic and social comparisons

  • Exploring the impact of social media

  • Coping with difficult emotions and unmet needs

  • Exploring core values

  • Learning to set clear limits and boundaries

  • Cultivate a gratitude practice and learning to appreciate our strengths
